I do not know about you but in the past, we always tried to attend the events that took place at our own Chatham Capitol Theatre in Historic Downtown Chatham if possible. Covid interrupted that as it did for many but it is time to make some plans and support this great venue again. Check out their website and sign up to subscribe to their newsletter which will keep you in the know. I have heard so many times in the past, when I was praising a performance we had attended “ I did not even know that was on” Don’t miss the upcoming events for the 2022-23 season. Check the schedule and plan your year. Outstanding shows from several great artists like Johnny Reid and Jan Arden to top notch Tribute Shows are scheduled this season.There is something for everyone and watch around Christmas for additional seasonal events taking place at the venue.
The Capitol Theatre was renovated several years ago and is a real asset to Chatham's Historic Downtown as well as a bright star for our great Municipality of Chatham-Kent. Experience a special night out at this great venue. You will not be disappointed. With the changes scheduled for the Downtown Chatham Mall and all that the development will bring to our downtown, this venue is definitely one to watch. When you consider the caliber of entertainment scheduled for this year, the cost of tickets and staying in town versus driving to London or Toronto, it is a real bargain. Enjoy a performance and then wander Historic Downtown King St. and stop for a late night dinner, a drink or a coffee and dessert at one of our local establishments.
Don’t forget Movie Night Wednesday evenings at 7 P.M. for only $5.00 or $40.00 passes for the season. Check it out. It is a real bargain and a great way to see that Movie you might have missed at the theatre. Renew old friendships we have all missed so much in the past 2 years with all the isolation protocalls we have been through during Covid. My wife and I love the comraderie, meeting old and new friends and catching up, before the movie Come join us. It is a fun night! Hope to see your there.
