This coming weekend is another fun packed one in our area. This summer has been a busy one and there has been something for everyone. August 7-8/26 weekend is no exception.
If you are a car buff, you will not want to miss the Bothwell Optimist Old Auto Car Show and Flea Market. This is one of Canada's largest one day shows with over 1200 cars on display. It is also the largest Auto Flea Market around so if you need some rare parts for your vintage auto this is the place to go. Check their website for times and schedule of events. The Flea Market will open at Victoria Park 498 Elm St. Friday and Saturday at 8A.M. Car show on Saturday. There will be great food,vendors, kids zone, draws and great entertainment Friday and Saturday nights in the park.. Be sure to come out and include this weekend event in your schedule.

This weekend August 7-8/26 is also Wallaceburg Wambo, one of Ontario’s best known car and boat events. Celebrating over 3 decades, this spectacular event takes over the town of Wallaceburg and the Sydenham River bank. It is run by Volunteers who make each year a memorable weekend and one that many residents and visitors to Chatham-Kent look forward to each year. Friday night is the kick-off with the Terry Glover Memorial cruise which begins at the Walmart parking lot at 7 P.M. (participants arrive at 6 P.M.) and continues downtown. Antique and Classic cars, some antique fire engines, motocycle will line the main street on Saturday and vintage boats will be on display along the river.
There will be vendors. Artist booths, a beer tent, food and entertainment at the main stage each evening and even at noon on Saturday. Check out the many things to see and enjoy on their website.
