Our area in and around Chatham-Kent is the ideal location, in my opinion, to live in or visit especially in the summer. We have several Lakefront Resorts due to our location in the middle of the Great Lakes. Erieau, Mitchells Bay, Rondeau Shores are just a couple well worth visiting.

Blenheim Classic Car Event: Beginning Friday night June 25, classic cars, older than 1980, will line up for a parade.
Then on Saturday June 27th the main street, Talbot St. will be lined with Classic Cars. Wander the street, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Talk to the proud owners and learn all about the history of their prize possessions. Blenheim has several unique shops and great restaurants to vist for a little shopping or for lunch or maybe just a coffee break. You will love it!
Sunday June 28th Erieau’s Boulevard of Dreams Takes place from 12-3 p.m. If you have not been to the Resort Village of Erieau along the shores of Lake Erie you have really missed a real treat. I spent many days, weeks and great times in this village. My parents had a cottage on the bay side and we spent the summers there, driving back and forth to Chatham for work. I had the distinction of being the youngest accomplished swimmer at the local Yacht Club. Lots of super friends, memories and adventures I still fondly look back on. It was a great place to grow up and where my love of boating was born. A love that my wife and children shared and we spend over 50 years exploring the Great Lakes aboard our many boats. It is a boater's paradise. Come out next Saturday. There is a usually a Fish Fry, the local Brewery where you can sample their offerings and even enjoy a meal and Molly and OJ’ Restaurant, famous for their fish dinners.

The Wheatley Fish Fest and Classic Car show is also on this weekend with live music, vendors and great fish dinners. Also the Tart and Soul Butter Tart Festival at Son's of Kent Brewery from 11-3 P.M. in Chatham. Find the Butter Tart of your dreams with a wide variety of cuinary delights for every taste bud!
